Our communication strategy was to have DishLATINO own the passion of the fans and the beauty of the game by creating an archetypical persona for the Beautiful Game (or, "El Juego Bonito"), the moniker for which soccer is known throughout Latin America. This archetypical persona took the form of a samba dancer, a recognizable icon from the World Cup’s host country, Brazil. As with the beautiful game, the samba dancer was infused with the color, rhythm, motion, energy and passion of soccer.

STRATEGY When it comes to winning international channel package subscribers, DISH TV has faced stiff competition from its rivals, like DIRECT TV and COMCAST. Over 3 years, we at Gravity created campaigns that won viewers over by positioning DISH TV as the provider that really knew their audience, in this case, South Asians. STORY The insight in this commercial is that everyone wants to be in the driver's seat when it comes to deciding what to watch. The young woman has the last laugh though, because she chooses the movie Sholay - everyone Indian will recognize the the iconic characters of Basanti and Thakur - and will laugh, because only a true Bollywood fan will get the hidden joke - Thakur has no arms, so he can not change the channel! AWARDS This ad won the Mosaic Award for Best Multicultural Ad Campaign, in the US for 2013.

But what's its name? From what is it made? We created a unique database of recipes of national dishes. Each recipe is accompanied by an interesting information on the food and cuisine of the country. Of course there are illustrative pictures of the dishes. The database is divided by continent into five units. http://www.asba.com ASBA News' Tasia Custode reports from this years CES in Las Vegas. Dish is offering something for potential cable cutters as the company unveiled Sling TV, a pay-TV service delivered over the Internet, instead of through its traditional satellite dishes. The company will charge just $20 a month for the service -- although for far fewer channels than viewers would typically get from Comcast or DirecTV -- and won't require users to sign a long-term contract. It will, however, offer some big lures such as ESPN, TNT, CNN and the Food Network.
