I heard about this skateboard contest happening just a few miles away from my house, so I decided to go check it out. What was originally planned as a 720x60fps test turned out to be so much more.. Over two minutes of sick skating as these guys threw themselves of a Triple Set of stairs (hence the name ;-) Location: NC Boardshop - Los Gatos Camera: Panasonic HVX200 (720-30PN-60fps) Editing: After Effects & Premiere Pro CS3

This is very first test footage of my X2 CableCam System. Since this footage was taken there has been some changes made to the tensioner on the drive system to help minimize the chain slap. Sorry for the dark footage at the end, but it was windy all day and the smoothest runs were at dusk (plus the HVX200 really sucks in low light..) More to come....

Earlier this summer, Kaesen got a chance to tear up a private lake in Redding, California with a pool and several hits that he built with Troy Ingola. The hits included a corrugated tube 10 feet above the water, a down rail and a down-C-box. The lake is owned by Mark Wilk, who was kind enough to allow them to build everything on his property and allow the crew filming access 24/7. The video was shot by David Cervenka of DPCFilms.com and edited by Joe Umali. Troy was the man behind the winch. And for all you camera geeks, this is what they used... - Canon 7D w/ Canon 70-200mm f2.8, Sigma 10mm 2.8, Tamron 17-50mm f2.8 - DPC CableCam - RC controlled with Kessler Pan/Tilt head - GoProHD - Cut in PPRO CS5 (on a PC)

It was great to be shooting wake again since the release of Global WarNing and many thanks to Kaesen for making all this possible! The setup you see here was dialed in by Kaesen and Troy who spent a good week and a half building this crazy rail setup that consisted of a corrugated tube 10 ft above the water, a down rail, and a down-C-box.. Special thanks to Mark Wilk the owner of this private "man-made" lake located in Redding (by Shasta Lake) for allowing us to have 24/7 access to film and shoot photos. Tempe, AZ - Red Bull Wake Lab, the biggest and most innovative wakeboarding event ever devised, splashed down in Tempe Town Lake during the Circle K Tempe Music Festival on April 3rd and 4th. Over two days more than 25,000 spectators experienced some of the nation's top wakeboarders showing off their best tricks on the "Wake Lab," a one-of-a-kind floating skatepark. The first day of competition got off to a rocky start as 50 mph gusts of wind caused two of the qualifying rounds to be postponed. But Saturday brought clear skies and calm winds, and an early start allowed the event to get right back on track. At the end of a day of tight competition, four riders walked away with awards - Aaron Rathy (Most Progressive), Adam Errington (Best Trick), Parks Bonifay (Best Line) and JD Webb (Best Overall).
