Despite the fuzzy photos, you can see the children are engaging in play with peers or adults for much longer periods. They are also expanding their play repertoires. We have some children beginning to spontaneously engage in representational play for the first time, others who have stayed in a turn taking situation for extended periods for the fist time, and children taking the initiative to actively participate and share in the group. It's been a wonderful experience to see these children move into the role of play partners, classmates, and friends. So, to all the parents, teachers, and children , "Thank You For Being a Friend!"
