Here singer and actor Timo Nieminen talks about Mama, I’m Coming Home by Guy Weizman/Roni Haver The piece confronts us through social reflection, humor and dynamic vocabulary. Raw and exciting in their approach, they explore the migrant body, soul and longing through a blend of dance, text, music and visuals. Live music performed on stage plays an important role. Mama, I’m Coming Home was created specifically for GöteborgsOperans Danskompani.

Dancers from GöteborgsOperans Danskompani and their guests cut loose with the catapult. Katapult is a way for the dancers to develop and challenge their creativity, as well as for the audience to meet the dancers in a more intimate context. For two evenings, dancers from GöteborgsOperans Danskompani show off some different sides of creative talents. Come and meet them and the way they interpret the theme of this dance season – Mind & Spirit – in photo exhibitions, films, installations and, of course, dance. To challenge and develop their creativity, dancers at times work with art-forms other than dance. This time, the audience gets the chance to see Katapult, which is also to be part of the Gothenburg Dance & Theatre Festival. More info: http://opera.se/forestallningar/katapult-2014-2013-2014/

Upplev en föreställning från ett nytt håll: scenen. Du medverkar på Stora scenen under kvällens andra verk. Det första ser du från din plats i salongen som publik. Ett större antal personer ur publiken på parkett får varje kväll chansen att vara med i Richard Siegals the world to darkness and to me. Tillsammans med, och under ledning av, GöteborgsOperans Danskompani kommer ni som medverkar att bilda olika, enkla formationer och grupper på scenen. Inga förkunskaper krävs. --- Experience the performance from a new perspective: the stage. You participate on the Main Stage in the second piece of the evening. The first one you watch from your seat in the auditorium. Each evening, a large number of people from seats in the stalls have the chance to appear in Richard Siegal's the world to darkness and to me. Accompanying (and under the direction of) GöteborgsOperans Danskompani, participants will form a number of simple formations and groupings on the stage. No previous experience required.
