    Gene Luen Yang is the author of American Born Chinese, the first graphic novel to be nominated for a National Book Award and the first to win the American Library Association's Printz Award. His keynote led the way through this one-day conference sponsored by Hennepin County Library and the Loft Literary Center on June 19, 2010.
