Using the technology of today I have attempted to transport myself back to the times when the events you will now see occurred. Follow me as I take you to Poland where you will witness the Warsaw Uprising, the Escape from Sobibor, which was a death camp, the revolt of the Sondercommandos in Auschwitz and the partisans who took to the woods to fight Nazis and save other Jews. ASSIGNMENT- Due upon return to class. One of the most famous of the non-Jewish resisters were a brother and sister who were German medical students. Their names were Sophie and Hans Scholl. Sophie Scholl was so famous that there are places in Germany named after her, streets and so forth. Go online and Google her name. On an index summarize what it is that she did and what happened to her for speaking out to defend the Jews. A fantastic movie made about her story is on a DVD we have, The Final Days of Sophie Scholl. I know that every one of you will thoroughly enjoy the film.
