Iceland. Land of contrasts: Hot water and Ice, situated in the North Atlantic, right above the mid-ocean ridge that separates America and Europe. Shooting was done in two stays (2 weeks each) in 2005 & 2006 (both in September) with a result of 15 hours of footage. Camera was a SONY Z1. I used some COKIN semi-grey Filters in some of the shots to get the sky as dark as I wanted it to be. Almost no color correction was done in the post, but the timelapse and slo-mo. More than half the homes on Lake Lotawana belong to “weekenders” who only visit during summer. This is what the rest of us do after they leave. Lake Lotawana will also be the primary location for our first feature film that we begin shooting in two weeks! Find out more information about the film at www.LotawanaMovie.com We actually had no plans of creating this video. But rather, since it was the first weekend of solid ice in 2015, we simply picked up a camera, walked down to the dock, strapped on our skates and joined the other lake rats already enjoying the brilliant weather. Then a couple days later, we realized it's been a while since our last home video and decided to throw a quick edit together. Let us know what you think! In late December 2013 I visited Wisconsin, the frozen tundra, for my annual family vacation. I didn't know what to expect. And it was surreal. Cold wind. Snow. Icy landscape as far as you can see and everything was frozen solid with temperature below zero - fahrenheit as well as celsius. Despite the crazy weather I had the chance to watch a NFL game live - Green Bay Packers vs. Pittsburgh Steelers at the famous Lambeau Field. Finally. A NFL game. Finally. Lambeau field, the stadium I visited, when I was 15 years old, back in 1996. Well, I'm a huge sports fan but never saw something comparable to a NFL game before. All I can say is, that it was a one of a kind experience. Packers fans are just unbelievable. #GoPackGo Written, directed & shot by Oliver Würffell Edit & sound design by Vincent Urban Grading by Marcus Adam Voice Over by Daryl Jackson @ Orange Sound, Munich BTW. This is a none-commercial film. I'm just a fan of the NFL and especially the Green Bay Packers.

David Beckham is starring in Adidas’ new spot for their ice-cool Climachill range. Directed by Glassworks Amsterdam’s Head of 3D Rudiger Kaltenhauser, it features super-macro, photo-real CG and impossible camera moves. Working closely with Amsterdam-based agency Meanwhile, our brief was to create an animated film that would sit alongside their frosty Climachill campaign, focusing on the product’s cooling functionality. With a super tight deadline, Rudiger wanted to establish the metaphor of ice and frost in an abstract world, creating a rollercoaster ride of how the product works – it uses flat yarn woven with Titanium and aluminium cooling spheres to provide an instant chilling sensation, aiding athlete’s performances by lowering their body temperatures in warm conditions. Some fx design and look development work I did for Framestore NY for the 'wouldn't it be cool?' nissan spot(s) in spring 2012. The basic simulation of the last two shots was done by Eric Mootz, I only did some enhancements and the basic shading on these two shots.
