Chris Sugrue from the Eyewriter team, demos the open source Eyewriter 2.0 system connected to the ABB + GML powered Livewriter arm. The process is Tracking -> Callibration -> Typing -> Send to Robot Arm :) We used the keyboard mode to allow children to quickly write their name with their eye. The typeface output to the Livewriter was designed by Tempt 1 with the original Eyewriter system. "Nemore" is a garden, consiting of 36 bendable graphite poles. "Nemore" senses the visitor. Each pole has a behavior and reacts to it's neighbours only: and to the visitor, of course - the visitor acts an "alien neighbour". We are interested in the question: Does a system arise from the poles behaviour, that we (the observers and the visitor) perceive as angst, curiosity, nervousness, etc.? Each pole has a distinct sound, that builds up a chord, fluctuating in resonance with the movement of the poles. http://fishing-for-compliments.net http://www.flickr.com/photos/fishing-for-compliments/sets/72157625262581442/ http://schmiede.ca

The Chemistree is an interactive installation build for the Dutch non-profit company Globalicious. Globalicious focusses on achieving the millenium-goals by spreading the word with love. The Chemistree plays sad music, but when you hug it the music starts getting happier and the tree starts waving its branches around in a happy dance. It also starts opening its flowers. The more people hug it, the happier it gets.
