    Made using Thinking Particles, Cloth & FumeFX. I created a script tool that rigs the zeppelin structure (which was jointed and simulated in TP) and the patches. It also exports the UV of the patches, so you can open it in Photoshop and "paint" the tears. Then you use that texture as Tear Map in the script, and it will automatically create the tears (of course you can also paint the tears inside 3ds Max with the paint selection tool). You can also change the Strength value (tear threshold --I couldn't get access to the softSelection checkbox through maxscript--) After that the simulation can be started and it will cache it if you want to (will be MUCH faster in viewport). This script was created based on the description of the Sucker Punch zeppelin crash.

        connectors are procedurally created, linked, activated or removed. connectors exist only "virtually", they don't appear in the object manager. the first frames take some time, but when all connectors are placed the simulation speeds up. based on collisions. possible to break the connectors. working with cloners, objects & particles. still has some issues / priority problems (surprise surprise... :/ ) but actually working very well :) thx @ nophoto for his python wall generator

                    The video demonstrates the difference of having the Additive Sculpt Mode enabled/disabled when modeling corrective shapes on top of already existing shapes while being in a deformed state of the model. The open mouth position has another corrective shape already active with a value of 0.6. The video has no audio, so please see the notes below of explanation: 00:12 Shows the driving joint for the open mouth. 00:17 Setting up the shape driver as a SetDrivenKey. The joint z rotation is -30 and reflected in the settings. 00:29 Currently the Additive Sculpt Mode is active, which results in shapes inheriting each other in the overlapping areas. This is usually not preferred. 00:33 Sculpting the new shape. 00:50 After exiting the sculpt mode the new shape is already active because of the set driven key.
