Join us as we continue our study in the book of 2 Kings. Tonight, Pastor Jim Suttle teaches in 2 Kings 19. In this study we see King Hezekiah face three difficult trials and in each of these trials he has three choices: give up, put his trust in himself or the world, or trust in God. Ultimately, yet not perfectly, Hezekiah puts his trust in God and God moves mightily on King Hezekiah’s and the nation of Judah's behalf and on behalf of His own name!

Christian Don't Return to Egypt Pt3b | ID# shabb-121914-christian-don’t-return-egypt-pt3a Christian Don't Return to Egypt Pt3 , begins with being brought again into Egypt. Egypt here is representative of bondage. Bondage for sins and rejection of the Lord. Israel rejected the Lord and would not do as he said. He had warned them time and again. But Israel would be scatter, troubled, and sold unto their enemies for bondmen and bondwomen. We follow the trail of this theme 'don't return to Egypt' all the way to the New testament. Here we find phrases such as "to deliver such a one unto Satan", and we discuss events pertaining to Saul, Paul before his conversion, Ananias and his wife; and more. The Apostle Paul compares Israel to the Christian in Hebrews. It is that example found in the Torah, where we find Paul saying to the believers "Unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them [meaning Israel]: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it"! Here we have a point blank word that Israel did not have faith to mix with the word that was given to them by Moses. To the believer as well as to Israel; "don't return to Egypt"! Deu 28:67 In the morning thou shalt say, Would God it were even! and at even thou shalt say, Would God it were morning! for the fear of thine heart wherewith thou shalt fear, and for the sight of thine eyes which thou shalt see. Deu 28:68 And the LORD shall bring thee into Egypt again with ships, by the way whereof I spake unto thee, Thou shalt see it no more again: and there ye shall be sold unto your enemies for bondmen and bondwomen, and no man shall buy you. 1 Cor 5:4 In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ, 1 Cor 5:5 To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.
