In this episode of MicroFreaks we zoom in on golden orb spiders. With web-building superpowers and neurotoxic venom, these arachnids entomb and liquefy their prey. Watch as we take a microscopic look at the adaptions that have secured them a spot as one of the most ancient spider families on the planet. Yeah, baby... We proudly present to you the first pornographic production ever by PlusOne. We’ve created six sex tapes for Micropia: the first museum of its kind, displaying the invisible world of micro-organisms. Together with a team of microbiologists we sat down to come up with a plan on how to visualize six microorganisms having sex. As there is still a lot undocumented about this subject we had to be creative within the boundaries set by the specialists. To give the audience the feeling they are looking through a microscope we choose a realistic look. This film is a compilation of a series of six. If you would like to see them all you should visit the exhibition, which we strongly recommend. Our first episode of MicroFreaks takes us into a monster's lair … It might only be a monster on a micro scale, but with its powerful mandibles and paralysing venom, the antlion is pretty formidable if you look (very) closely. We’re zooming in on the predatory prowess that allows the insect to satisfy its insatiable appetite for ants.
