    Russell Street is a principal corridor in Missoula, Montana, connecting its downtown to neighborhoods in the south. The corridor is auto-oriented and challenges street level activity for pedestrians and non-motorized users. The New Mobility West (NMW) team engaged the Missoula Redevelopment Agency, city staff, and neighbors and business owners in the Russell Street area to develop a vision for the corridor from Broadway to 3rd Street, roughly a half-mile stretch. Participants clearly voiced a preference for a more walkable, pedestrian oriented environment, and the NMW team provided detailed recommendations city officials could enact through their land use code to move in that direction.
