Movember's 2009 Gala Parté in Los Angeles dominated the night with a beautiful showing of mustachioed Mo Bros and their ever-so-lovely supportive Mo Sistas. The costumes, the energy and the commitment to the cause was unbelievable. Movember LA rocked hard by raising a record-breaking amount of money in 2009. Mo to come!

Funds raised go to Movember’s beneficiary partners: the Prostate Cancer Foundation (PCF) (www.pcf.org) and the Lance Armstrong Foundation (LAF) (www.livestrong.org). The LAF is a new beneficiary partner for 2009, and opens up the cause to men of all ages.

I came home on December 2nd with the intent of getting a clean shave and having my fiancee shot a little bit of it for a keep sake of my first Movember.

It was her idea to do establishing shots and cut aways, and in hindsight it was a great idea. I cut this together as a way to thank the people that donated to charity on my behalf over the last month, and to thank my fiancee (who HATES facial hair) for her patients and suffering.

The future of grooming. This was a quick video I created for Movember -- raising awareness for prostate cancer. Shot on Canon 7D 50mm f/1.8. Effects in After Effects, CC with Magic Bullet.

The effects are super cheese... but I think it fits the scene. I pretty much just laid it all out and hit 'render'... didn't spend too much on timing / audio /etc.
