              - O Canada - A tribute to my country and its truly breathtaking landscapes. From Tofino to Dinosaur Provincial Park, I pursued a dream, living off the grid for 6 weeks with only one quest in mind. With my dirtbag van, I've traveled through the WEST coast, trying to capture a tiny bit of our natural wonders under the best light possible. Most of those images have required a lots of driving hours, hiking, waiting and wilderness camping...but that's all the fun stuff, eh! :) Thanks everyone for the support! ONE LOVE #ocanada To follow and see more of my work please visit: http://sebastienross.ca http://fb.com/ross.sebastien http://instagr.am/sebastien_ross Stay tuned for more time lapse videos, EAST is in early post-production stage. It was shot mostly this fall during an epic 2000km bike trip through the east coast. Fingers crossed for the NORTH project... let's see if I find a budget to explore some of the Canadian most remote locations. WEST was shot in British Columbia (EC Manning Provincial Park, Yoho National Park, Pacific Rim National Park Reserve, Juan de Fuca Provincial Park, Nancy Greene Provincial Park, Revelstoke, Glacier National Park, Mount Buchanan Lookout, Mount Kobau) and in Alberta. (Banff National Park, Jasper National Park, Dinosaur Provincial Park) Equipement: Canon 6d - Rokinon 14mm/ 24mm/ 85mm - LEE Filters - Goal zero sherpa50 Song: Elegant Euphoria - Chris Haigh All the footage is available in 4k. Bristlecone pines are the oldest trees on Earth. The oldest, Methuselah, has lived more than 4,800 years. From their perch atop the White Mountains at California's eastern edge, the bristlecones have survived as entire human civilizations have arisen and disappeared. But there's a new threat to the bristlecone's existence, a globe-spanning emanation more menacing than anything they've faced in thousands of years. That threat is the subject of "The Vanishing Groves," an essay by Ross Andersen that appeared in Aeon Magazine. This episode of AudioVision is adapted from an abridged version of that essay. Back in April I embarked on a 5,500 mile journey alone across the American west. The entire trip was meant to be a cathartic experience that would help me grow as an individual, and put the past at rest behind me. During this journey, a single mile of paved road changed my life.
