A "documentary" for our third-year Culture Theory Research Studio class at Ryerson University. The class was tasked with studying Guy Debord's theory of dérives and then told to go out and perform one of their own. Myself, along with fellow group members Gavin Smith and Alex Gam took a trip to the Toronto Distillery District and spent a few hours there simply wandering around exploring this unique section of Toronto. Along the way I shot some video footage which I have subsequently compiled together to form this video-documentation of the event. Music: Halving the Compass by Helios

A small film I did for fun in the spring of 2006. The song is Our House by CSNY. The setting is the house I grew up in. I had a small HD hand camera with no tripod so some shots are a little shaky.

My conversation with Lou Dela Pena, GM of TBWA (http://www.tbwa.com/). I asked her about how Apple has been able to achieve such astounding levels of success and if their apparent lack of adopting social media discredits new media as a whole or if it simply speaks all the more to their legendary branding. The list of brands TBWA works with is quite impressive (Apple, Adidas, Visa, McDonald's, etc.), and I found Lou's advice to startups to be equally solid. According to their site, "TBWA is one of the top ten US-based agency networks made up of 258 full service agencies around the world with expertise in all of the disciplines required for the positioning, launching and long-term management of brands." Last note: I include a shout-out to my friend Leigh Caraccioli (http://twitter.com/fleurdeleigh), whom I worked with on a photoshoot last fall. I miss you all back home in the US!

integrated system with hundreds of magnetically interdependent moving parts. Its complex organic behavior results from a highly tuned compound lever system that allows very smooth vertical and horizontal movements. Lever arms cover the exterior of the structure. On the arm ends, geometrically arranged paint brush bristles catch subtle air currents, providing the energy to the system. Each arm’s movement impacts the whole. functional explanation video https://vimeo.com/26259762 I believe in God, I spell it Nature. Frank Lloyd Wright

My demo reel for 2010. At the end of this school year I was in the unusual situation of having to design pieces for my demo reel rather than compiling my reel from previously completed works. A few pieces aren't as finished as I'd have liked, but my reel will evolve over time.
