Perceptio is an audiovisual concert that investigates the state of our perception towards pollution and climate change in a local context. Perceptio combines cinematics and generative art / animation with sound and music that is a whole, inseparable from one another. Collecting sound and visual samples from various parts of Singapore, these field recordings are then harmoniously combined with computer generated visuals and sounds to create an immersive experience. Perceptio journeys through different forms of invisible problems that persist in our everyday or future lives and questions our highly mediated society. http://www.pmp.fm

Daniel Rozin "Mirror No. 12", 2013 video camera, custom software, computer, projector, wood oval with mount dimensions variable custom projection on wood oval: 34 x 60 x 20.8" / 86.4 x 152.4 x 52.8 cm edition of 6 "Mirror No. 12" is a color video projection that processes live imagery captured from a small camera. Taking upon itself the same image building restrictions as the "Angles Mirror", "Mirror No. 12" uses the rotational transformation of line as the sole means of representation. Resulting in a painterly texture, the artist-authored software manipulates a finite set of straight lines that spin from one position to the next, in an attempt to replicate a visual scene’s angular contours and features. Cropping the camera’s frame and virtually torquing its imagery three-dimensionally, the projection is bounded by an oval, evoking the surveillant effect of an observer gazing through the peephole in a door. Benjamin Grosser Facebook Demetricator 2012-present software (demonstration video) The Facebook interface is filled with numbers. These numbers, or metrics, measure and present our social value and activity, enumerating friends, likes, comments, and more. Facebook Demetricator allows you to hide these metrics. No longer is the focus on how many friends you have or on how much they like your status, but on who they are and what they said. Friend counts disappear. ’16 people like this’ becomes ‘people like this’. Through changes like these, Demetricator invites Facebook’s users to try the system without the numbers, to see how their experience is changed by their absence. Thus, with this open source browser addon I aim to disrupt the prescribed sociality these metrics produce, enabling a network society that isn’t dependent on quantification.
