Nick Tilma – Artistic Director Born and raised in Grand Rapids, I am an industrial design student at University of Michigan. I love experimenting and exploring the possibilities of new media light art. Jordan Verburg – Chief Researcher & Experimentalist I'm from Clarksville, MI. I am a current KCAD student. I consider myself an inventor of sorts, with a keen eye for integrating applicable technologies into design solutions. About the work Title: Wind Out of Light Art form: 2-D, 3-D, Sound, Internet / Interactive Medium: Digital projection refracted and transformed through heat formed acrylic. 'LPDT2 : The Second Life of La Plissure du Texte' is the Second Life® incarnation of Roy Ascott's groundbreaking new media art work La Plissure du Texte ('The Pleating of the Text'), created in 1983 and exhibited at the Musee de l'Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris. The title of the project, 'La Plissure du Texte: A Planetary Fairy Tale,' alludes to Roland Barthes's book 'Le Plaiser du Texte', a famous discourse on authorship, semantic layering, and the creative role of the reader as the writer of the text. As was also the case in its first incarnation 'distributed authorship', a term coined by Ascott, has been the primary subject of investigation of LPDT2. from Bill Psarras / Added

Concept, Creation and Direction: Bill Psarras ** Bill Psarras © 2013. All rights reserved ** 'Elevator' is a new media/conceptual installation related to the human emotion of anger and its visualization to an artistic output. It was conceived & realized by Bill Psarras on 2008-2009 as well as constituted his practice-based BA thesis at the department of AudioVisual Arts - Ionian University (Greece). This short documentary is a presentation of its conceptual and audiovisual context. "Anger can be perceived as a kind of alchemy. The rude and primitive is transformed to something useful and intellectual. The artistic perception acts like a human cell. Elevator pushes this line to the margins of this cell by seeking for a way of connection between the meanings of beauty and disgusting, between the known and the unknown, between the flower and the thorn, between outer an inner – ‘eso’. Why anger then? " [Bill Psarras, 2009] The artist would like to thank Dr. Andreas Floros and Marianna Strapatsakis for their valuable help & support. _________________________________________________________________________ Music excerpts in this video are under the copyright of the following artists and they were used without profit intention. * Peter Gabriel - Passion / Album: Passion (1989) * Karnivool - Changes pt. • Mario Asef Video / Works - Trailer

                  04:31

                  from Mario Asef / Added

Mario Asef's public interventions, photographs, videos, soundscapes and installations focus on the legibility of urban space and architecture into a specific social- cultural context within a historical moment. Hopping to find a way to explore an intimate social-critical and political aspect of forms, the artist develop a system of telling, in the sense of a thought experiment that aims to produce an unpredictable effect - a moment of logical absurdity - creating a fiction of the real. He is a precise and yet poetic recorder of the fleeting and the mundane. His work emphasise, in an unpretentious and yet precise way, moments of displacement and the disappearance of space and time. In a subversive and humorous way, Mario Asef manages to breach the rules of the every day life. Like a researcher he explores, with the most different mediums, the construct of public spaces and public life.
