    This sample uses background subtraction to track a foreground object and apply a glow. An even better result could be achieved using an IR or thermal camera for shadow detection against a projection screen onto which we could project only the glow component to highlight a moving subject. The moving glowing dots are mouse-controlled points that affect the primary glowing components. Produced using openFrameworks.

        Conor Russomanno’s Demo Reel Breakdown 1. Champion: (Spring 2010) I modeled/textured/animated this character in Maya. 2. Plasma Ball: (Dec. 2012) I programmed this neurofeedback game with openFrameworks; the application requires a Neurosky Mindset to retrieve the player’s EEG brain activity. 3. BrainCAP and BrainSYNC: (Spring 2012) I built this hardware and mobile application with Arduino/Processing/Java/Android; it is designed to passively record the wearer’s brain activity to be compared to other manually input data. 4. CyberGRID: (Spring 2010 – Spring 2011) Group project; I designed and modeled world and character assets in Maya/Unity. 5. Orbitorbs: (Dec. 2011) I designed and programmed this physics-based game with Photoshop/openFrameworks; I coded physics interactions from scratch. 6. Webs: (Nov. 2012) I programmed this interactive animation with openFrameworks; it demonstrates an understanding of spring and particle physics. 7. Zombie King: (Dec. 2010) Group project; I designed/illustrated all world and character assets with pencil/Photoshop. 8. Bull’s Eye: (Fall 2012) hand-drawn pencil animation showing understanding of gesture and anatomical balance. 9. Selected Illustrations: (various dates) I created the following sequence of illustrations with pencil/charcoal/Photoshop. 10. 3D Male Figure: (Fall 2010) I modeled/textured this low-poly character with Maya/Photoshop. 11.               • Audio Recorder / Filter Design (Part 1 of 2)

                Programmed in C++ using openFrameworks and ofxFft. In this project I created an application to allow users to interact with 9 different audio filters (Lowpass, Highpass, Bandpass 1 (0 db gain), Bandpass 2 (Normalized gain), Notch, Allpass, Peaking EQ, Lowshelf, and Highshelf). I designed all my own UI elements and created my own methods to filter the audio stream in real-time. The end result here is an easy to use application that makes sense of the complex nature of filter design and a clean implementation of audio feedback. In this first video I demonstrate how the audio streaming works. Instead of manipulating the live stream of audio coming into the microphone I instead programmed a history buffer that records and playbacks 15 seconds of audio. Once the audio has been recorded and is being played back the user can scroll back and forth through the audio by clicking and dragging inside the audio waveform box (easiest seen in the demo videos below).
