I met Victoria whilst I was filming at New Start Scotland. I was bowled over by her spirit, and asked if i could have a few moments to record a conversation with her. She is a person who does not ask 'why', but 'why not?' This is the result.

There's still Hope for Dreams - A PHAMALY Story, is a feature length documentary that takes you on a different, yet extraordinary journey. A journey of hope; a journey where dreams are pursued; a journey where great challenges are overcome despite physical disabilities. In Denver, CO, there is a theater group that is unique to the world called PHAMALY (Physically Handicapped Actors and Musical Artist League). PHAMALY is a group of disabled performers who found rejection in the mainstream artistic community, so they built a theatrical group of their own. A group, comprised entirely of disabled actors, exists for one purpose -- and one purpose only -- performance. Each summer, since 1990, PHAMALY has mounted a major musical production with a group of amazingly talented cast and crew. It began as a creative endeavor and became magical. PHAMALY has crossed bridges, destroyed barriers and defied all odds in the theatrical world while performing major musicals written and created for performers without disabilities. Productions originally choreographed for people who can move both feet and arms, dance freely across the stage, who can see, hear and talk -- this is the challenge that PHAMALY takes on -- without benefit of many of these abilities. With musicals such as Fiddler on the Roof, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, The Wiz and Side Show, PHAMALY has brought new meaning and understanding to both cast and audiences. PHAMALY's members have not one, defined disbility, but many. Actors with Parkinsons, Cerebral Palsy, blindness, paralyzation or amputations, plus many other disabilities, have joined together to perform in this high quality theater troupe. Many who would not otherwise have a chance to appear on a stage are able to exhibit a vast range of talent with PHAMALY. Come with us on our journey following the PHAMALY cast as they mount Urinetown, their latest production. It is a path that will challenge and alter how you think and feel about the creative world and the world of people with disabilities. There's Still Hope for Dreams - A PHAMALY Story reveals the beauty of a dance with seven blind actors or the gracefulness of a wheel chair moving across the stage. In a world that resonates with the pain and suffering in reality, we reveal that There's Still Hope for Dreams!
