**BLOG POST www.asworldsdivide.com The people living in this small coconut farming village had had very little interaction with white fellows prior to me, so upon arriving I quickly found that I would be surrounded by villagers at almost all times of the day/evening. This was great as it enabled me to learn about their lifestyle, but also quite difficult due to the language barrier. Eager to learn and fearing they’d quickly grow tired of staring at me, I used this opportunity to learn some basic words of their native language. With most of the villages there speaking the Indonesian language too, I was able – by using an Indonesian dictionary, to figure the Mentawaian translation and in return provide them with the pronunciation in English. This proved to be a fantastic relationship building exercise as it created an avenue of communication between us. I’ll be forever grateful for the good nature of those living in that small village; they were extremely welcoming and very patient with me. Including Si Jablah who seemed just as eager to learn as I was, often calling past my hut with a list of Indonesian words he’d written at home chasing the English translation. For as long as I was there, he was keen to learn, which was very inspirational.+ More details

As lifelong geeks of Star Wars, it was like Christmas morning the day boxes of Hasbro Star Wars - "The Clone Wars" vehicles showed up at the studio. We eagerly teamed up with CN's creative team for this sweepstakes spot. Our challenge was to show the vehicles and be mindful not to misrepresent their capabilities. This required us to summon the Force and Luke (our Creative Director's Son, a Padawan Jedi Apprentice well versed with the line, "Luke, I am your father" ). Luke swiftly maneuvered all of the gear through the shots that were later paired with our Tatooine inspired environment, and digital effects.+ More details

The EVVY Awards are an annual award show at Emerson College that recognizes student work. This video contains 2,151 images played back at one image per frame, at 30 frames per second. The images were captured by a D90 (in the studio, aimed through the control room window) connected to a Mac Mini. The Mac Mini ran tethering software that triggered the camera to capture and transmit a picture every 5 seconds. This rehearsal took place on Friday, May 14 in the afternoon. This is the Vin DiBona Control Room on the 8th floor of the Tufte PPC. The show took place nine floors below, in the Cutler Majestic Theater.+ More details
