Jan 18 & 20, 2013. Dense fog throughout Puget Sound. Decided to go up on Mount Erie hoping to get above it all to take some pictures. Road up most dangerous as freezing frost covered most of road and only till the last 300 feet did I break through the layers of fog. Most beautiful and decided to take time-lapses. over 5700 raw photos and Lightroom 4 to generate raw videos and produced video in old Roxio Creator 2009. Camera used is Olympus EPL-2 with stock 14-42mm lens. My best effort to date and having much fun learning. Next project will be better and bigger. Hope all enjoyed. Skagit WholeSale Market is designed to help local food producers in the Puget Sound region, particularly Skagit County, to connect directly to wholesale/retail buyers. A collaboration between the Skagit Valley Food Co-op and Puget Sound Food Network, it is the only grassroots business-to-business market of its kind in the region. It provides a personal way for the many faces of our foodshed to source wholesale volumes from many Skagit and surrounding producers, in the same place at the same time. Those interested in learning more or who wish to participate as a Skagit WholeSale Market seller should contact Lucy Norris at lucy@psfn.org or Erin Treat at skagitcoop@gmail.com or call (360) 336-3666.

Each year a group of speedster aficionados gets together to rally over a more than 100-mile course for glory, for beauty, and for the love of the road. This year's race was hosted by last year's winner Doug Shepherd. Skagit and Whatcom counties made for a beautiful backdrop Saturday, Aug. 9 for the rally. A noteworthy thing about rallies: though we were each handed a map and had to navigate our ways through the course, this is no race. The rules are clear: no speeding, and there are 15 minutes of stoppage time for potty breaks and pictures. Well, Kyle and I learned that as exciting as it was to fight to stay in the front of the pack and although we finished first, we came in near last place! Double points against you for every minute you arrive early! (The time you're shooting for is based on the time it took the race designer to run it, and you don't know what that was.)
