Megalomania perceives the city in total construction. The built environment is explored as a labyrinth of architecture that is either unfinished, incomplete or broken. Megalomania is a response to the state of infrastructure and capital, evolving the appearance of progress into the sublime. Constructed predominantly using 3d Studio Max and rendered with Vray. Organic movement sequences were originally filmed on a Canon 5D mkII, tracked in PF Track and developed in CG. Demolition created using Rayfire. All compositing done in Adobe After Effects, edited in Adobe Premiere Pro. Audio recorded and coordinated using Adobe Audition. "City in the sky" is a concept about an imaginary tranquil oasis above the mega developed and polluted city where one can escape from the everyday noise and stress. The concept is inspired by the Lotus flower which is known for its ability to emerge above the murky waters pure and clean. More info & images @ http://www.hrama.com/skycity / music & sound design by Georgi Marinov www.esem.name We did this in our spare time and it was a great learning experience. Special thanks to all who share their professional knowledge! Rendered with 3DSMAX and V-Ray. Some footage and time-lapses shot with Canon5D MKII in New York City. Post&FX in AE.

The other side of Shanghai: vimeo.com/tinycarousel/fadinglives/ Unlike many time-lapses, this one is made by hand. All 6,148 were taken manually using a simple Sony Cybershot and a tripod. I had to stand in one place for up to 4 hours, counting to 20 in my head, and take a picture. I hope that this video demonstrates that you don't necessarily need expensive equipment. This time-lapse video is a tribute to the city that has given me so much; Shanghai. I wanted to capture the city as it truly is, therefore none of the shots were edited or photoshopped in any way. (With the exception of the intro.) Personally, I find that the hard work put into a manual time-lapse gives you a much more rewarding feeling, and makes you look at the city through different eyes, seeing movement which you would normally ignore. WARSAW 24H is the final effect of the timelapse project I started in November 2012. I wanted to show Warsaw as it can be seen from its highest skyscrapers - as a majestic, beautiful city - not the one we get used to every day. I wanted to show Warsaw the way I love it. During the production I was able to visit rooftops of buildings such as Cosmopolitan, Złota 44, Marriott, Millenium Plaza, Rondo 1, and the tower of the st. Augustine's Church. And also some other places. I would like to thank all the people who were willing to help me, even though in some cases I didn't manage to use what they kindly offered. I would also like to thank Sebastian Nibisz who allowed me to use his program for post-processing HDR photos - SNS HDR PRO, http://www.sns-hdr.com/. I strongly recommend his work. // edit: The movie is shown on the internet as the 'HDR timelapse' which is not true :) The fact I could use the program for my work doesn't mean i always did it... And last but not least, my gratitude goes to all those on whom I could rely on during the shooting. You were my company and contributors. If it hadn't been for you, I would have died of boredom ;)

The Shard is Europe's tallest building. The Shard's architect, Renzo Piano is quoted as saying: 'Being an architect is a very dangerous job, because if you are wrong then of course everybody knows,'. Like any great artist, he is a risk taker, he bears all to more than 375,000 people daily who pass by close to The Shard, via London Bridge Station. I have been fascinated by The Shard, ever since I worked on the London summer Olympics and had it wink at me, temptingly, each morning as I opened my hotel curtains. One day, I knew I would be back ready to time-lapse from the inside of this marvellous structure, from The View From The Shard observation deck, and from street level. I've tried to keep things short and sweet with some additional views of London from vertigo-inducing locations. I hope you enjoy it and can one day yourself, visit this amazing crystalline-building.
