right before i went back home to chicago for thanksgiving i bought a letus 35mm adapter along with some lenses. so of coarse i brought my camera, the letus, and all the lenses home with me (and since i didn't want to check anything, i brought 0 clothes with me, except what i was wearing of coarse) i'm going to africa over Christmas and i'm planning on using the letus, so i wanted to test it with footage of my family at thanksgiving! here is what i learned, this being the first time ever using a letus: 1) a tripod or some kind of shoulder mount (if shooting freehand) is, in my mind, absolutely necessary. i did not have room to bring my tripod home so everything you see in the video is shot freehand (or sitting on the ground), which is a problem since the camera with the letus and zoom lens, weighs like 20 pounds! haha so some stuff is a bit shaky 2) i read a lot online about the "edge-to-edge" focus with the letus extreme (which is what i have) and honestly i didn't notice too much of a problem with it, except in a few occasions, but not enough for me to spend an extra $3,000 on the letus "ultimate" (if i even had that money to spend haha) 3) when shooting in higher light situations (mostly outside) i did notice the grain of the glass on the letus, even when i dialed down both my cameras iris, and the lens' iris, but in the shots i put in the video, i actually like it, but it worries me if i'm shooting in the bright sun of africa (i'll have to do some more tests before i go) 4) i like the letus a lot, the depth is incredible the video is shot at 720/24p with a letus 35mm extreme and a nikon zoom lens 85-200mm and a zeiss lens .17-2m oh and i made a deal with my mom that if she let me shoot a little bit during dinner i had to use a Beatles song (she is a huge fan) so i used "help" and the Beatles even make an appearance in the video! (paul please don't sue me)
