------ALERT: Be prepared to enter the Tea Bag Zone------ I began my journey with a question: Has Barack Obamas presidency ignited racial tensions (for lack of a better phrase) in America? Upon arriving at a resounding "YES", I realized the question was too small. Truth is, the death of America will be this divide. The seperation between the haves and the have nots will be the death of America. These unjust systems that have been set up to isolate us from love and truth will be the death of America. Unless we collectively realize that we're stronger together than apart. Unite. Enjoy. KING ERIC III (EKG HOUSE)

Your Stumptown Magazine editor, Matt, decided to join the six or so people who were protesting tax day at Pioneer Courthouse Square in Portland. He wanted to pretend to be a real Tea Party member, so he put on a clown wig and screamed about how much he hated America.

Joe the Plumber and as many as 5,000 of his closest friends descended on the Capitol in Lansing, MI, on April 15. I took my video camera and captured his speech, as well as some reactions from people in the crowd. The years of bad times in Michigan have left a mark.

The teabaggers held an anti-tax rally at the state Capitol in Lansing on April 15. I took my video camera and captured reactions from the crowd and snippets from the speeches for Lansing Online News (which I publish). An estimated 3,000 to 5,000 people attended the event, featuring Joe the Plumber. One question is why Lansing drew such a huge crowd, while other places didn't. Was it Joe the Plumber? Or is it an expression of the depth of the frustration with years of bad times in Michigan?
