A sensory feast of storytelling and indigenous creativity is set for the small screen when the second series of COLOUR THEORY hits NITV on Wednesday 05 March 2014 at 8pm as part of their autumn program line-up. Art and culture come together in this four-episode series that goes behind the scenes and into the communities of some of Australia’s leading indigenous artists to find out what makes them tick. Provocative artist, political activist and Colour Theory host Richard Bell, travels to the ancestral homelands of four artists across the east coast of Australia, looking at how country and culture inspire their modern form of art, and documenting their creative processes from inception through to production and exhibition. With each half-hour episode, Bell focuses on one artist in their creative context, whether it is a thriving art centre, art collective or independent studio – based in a regional or urban community.
