Veterans Expeditions is a nonprofit organization that creates community among veterans of all ages through wilderness and expedition experiences. It's unique in that it was formed by vets and is funded by vets. We worked with them on a 3 day trip through the Browns Canyon Wilderness Study Area, an area in Colorado being considered for wilderness/monument status. It's an area that these vets support and want to protect. We've been using the Miller Tripod 2030 System on this wilderness trip and in our project with VetEx. www.vetexpeditions.com and www.millertripods.com

This documentary tells the story of one Vietnam veteran who transformed his life and the lives of his former enemies through art. With the 40th anniversary of the end of the Vietnam War coming up in 2015, this documentary is a timely reflection about a war that America has never quite come to terms with. "Embracing the Enemy" addresses issues of war and peace that are as relevant today as they were 40 years ago. This documentary is suitable for high school and college students as well as adult aaudience. Some graphic scenes of war are depicted.

My senior thesis project from film school, this movie is about the journey home of a soldier returning from Iraq. Some of the actors are real veterans. It explores many of the issues combat veterans face such as the loss of a comrade, the impact on families, isolation and PTSD, etc. (may take a couple minutes to load.
