            • No Hollywood ending for Tai & Rosie

There was no Hollywood ending for Tai the elephant who appeared in the movie Water for Elephants with Reese Witherspoon and Robert Pattinson, nor Rosie the elephant who appeared with Kevin James in Zookeeper. Both are back at the circus, performing and giving rides with El Zagal Shrine Circus in North Dakota. Water for Elephants was met with a storm of controversy as it opened worldwide last year after ADI released undercover footage of the elephants, including Tai and Rosie, being beaten and electric shocked at Have Trunk Will Travel. ADI released the footage after the film’s makers, stars, American Humane, Have Trunk Will Travel claimed the elephant had been treated with love and affection and never abused. For a year Pattinson, Witherspoon and James have refused to comment on the horrific abuse that ADI exposed at Have Trunk Will Travel – where the elephant movie actors were beaten with bullhooks, punched and given electric shocks. At the time we believed that Robert Pattinson and Reese Witherspoon had been duped into thinking Tai had been humanely treated. We sent them the video and asked them to speak out. Not a word. The abuse of performing animals in movies is not going to stop until the stars start to speak out. ADI are sending Robert Pattinson, Reese Witherspoon, and Kevin James our latest video. We want them to come out and condemn the abuse and back HR 3359, the Traveling Exotic Animals Protection Act (TEAPA) which would end the use of wild animals like elephants in circuses. If you want to help ADI keep exposing the suffering, and help us end the torment of these animals, please donate today. http://www.ad-international.org/take_action/donate.php Find out more about TEAPA by visiting: http://www.ad-international.org/animals_in_entertainment/go.php?id=2265&ssi=10 Please pass this on.

On May 29, 2011, Pooja and Dev became husband and wife. They decided to have their wedding celebration at the beautiful Hyatt Huntington Beach Spa and Resort in Huntington Beach, California. This is one of few sites that we have in Southern California that overlooks the coast, it's a stunning view. The groom arrived for the baraat on Tai the elephant (who plays Rosie, star of 'Water for Elephants'), with the dhol player, Shawn Kalsi. The ceremony was held outside by the pier bridge, the pundit married the couple by century old traditional Punjabi Hindu customs. Following the ceremony, the bride had a viddai ceremony, where she formally leaves her family and joins her husbands family. The client chose one of our cinematic packages. The package included 3 Canon 5D cameras, 1 Jib operator, a same-day-edit and full length reel. Following the ceremony, we created this highlight piece to be shown at their reception.
