    Breaking Cycles and Zion Arts Centre are working together to develop a new touring production of Carlo Collodi’s classic children’s tale Pinocchio Directed by Benji Reid. The story will be performed by a cast of five with a number of characters being represented by puppets. Production Details: In June 2012 Z-arts (formerly Zion Arts Centre) and Breaking Cycles will be carrying out a two-week workshop as part of the development process for a new children’s show aimed at 7 – 11 year olds. The show will be a modern reworking of the children’s classic Pinocchio told using text, movement and puppetry. We are currently looking to cast 5 actors to take part in the development workshop. All of the cast members should have good acting, dance and improvisation skills. Previous experience of puppetry or object manipulation techniques is useful, but not mandatory. The rehearsal and performance dates for the final production are the 12th November to the 22nd December 2012. These dates are currently subject to confirmation of funding, however we would ask that anyone applying for one of the roles is also available during this period.
