I envision a world where people are empowered to showcase the beauty of their self-expression. I'm dedicated to doing this through GlobalNiche, professional consulting, and my personal writing.

I grew up in Silicon Valley and graduated from SCU with a BS in psychology. I worked as a data specialist for the DoD and graduated with an MS in IT from NPS where I met my Turkish husband. Soon after graduating we moved to Turkey.

Adapting to a different culture sparked a devastating identity crisis and depression. I lost my sense of self in the small town where we lived and became unrecognizable. It was social web technology and ecommerce that brought me back to the world.

I attended the Women Leaders for the World program hosted by the Global Women's Leadership Network. My project supported local artisans by offering their work for sale to a global marketplace. This evolved into training when I saw I could have a bigger impact by teaching people how to represent themselves online.

I met my business partner in Istanbul where we talked to women about becoming visible in the world through a professional web platform. This led to GlobalNiche.net; a transformational media startup that solves the problems of professional obscurity and digital illiteracy through our SUM-it UP program and social media outreach.

Our solution is geared toward those under-represented in public and professional life. It gives them a vehicle to be more visible in the world. The SUM-it UP program was developed from our combined 25+ years of expatriatism of turning adversity into superskills. We pair this with Web 3.0 concepts (turning knowledge into wisdom) to empower participants to acknowledge and use their accomplishments to demonstrate their skills and competencies in alignment with the future they want to live.
