Backpack Journalism2009
This collection of videos comes from the work of twenty high school students enrolled in American University's "Discover the World of Communication" summer program, in Ted Roach's "Backpack Journalism" class, June-July, 2009. Each student or small group had just two weeks to create a 3-5 minute documentary, from conception through writing, shooting and ultimately editing their short videos. Experience levels varied, but many of the students were using the cameras and editing software for the first time.
