    definitely possible, though it takes a lot more precision and care... the effect is similar - the t/s lens tilts the plane of focus to make bigger scenes appear to have a lower depth of field (scheimpflug principle). also, a lot of the t/s lenses out there are too wide for shooting stuff like this in very large landscapes - i shot quite a bit with a long-ish zoom - but they'd work great with video in a city with motion control (ie dollies, booms, etc.), stabilized from a helicopter, stuff like that.
