“Broken Hearts lead a new wave of female DJ groups who look and sound great” - Elle
Well-known for their distinctive brand of spectacular DJing, the Broken Hearts have played some of the most exclusive venues in the UK, as well as shows throughout Europe, Russia and the USA. Their eclectic sets have been described by The Independent as "a Hollywood musical on hallucinogenics”, and they have played for brands such as Marc Jacobs, Selfridges, Topshop, PPQ, Vivienne Westwood and Roberto Cavalli.
They write and present ‘Peppermint Candy’, a weekly show on Jazz FM, celebrated by The Guardian as "a cool swing music show hosted by two vintage style icons that will shatter all your expectations of jazz radio." A companion album was released through Universal Music and reached number 6 in the compilation charts.
The Broken Hearts are as well known for their striking visual style as for the music they spin on dancefloors across the world. They have impeccable fashion credentials: designing womenswear ranges for cult brands Beyond the Valley and Paperself eyelashes, sitting on the judge’s panel of the Clothes Show Style Awards and constantly championing young designers by commissioning their costumes. As such they have been featured throughout the style and fashion press, including British Vogue, i-D, and Grazia, including appearances at number 16 in the Observer ‘Cool List’ and at number 6 in Elle magazine's 'Hot 20'.
They have also appeared as style and music commentators in productions for the BBC, Sky Arts and Channel 4.
