My blog shows a developing trumpeter (me) using the systematic approach to practice taught by Claude Gordon and Herbert L. Clarke to naturally discover the knack of trumpet playing.

My name is David Roberts, and I am a comeback trumpet player returning to the horn after a 15-year layoff. I study privately with Bruce Haag , a Cincinnati-based brass teacher, who was a long-time student and friend of Claude Gordon. I’ve been practicing daily and studying with Bruce online, via Skype , since May 2008.
