Taylor Jayne Ballantyne Plus
Taylor Jayne Ballantyne started her career as a fashion photographer in Los Angeles - the lure of 40’s and 50's Hollywood inspired her style in the tradition of film noir from that Golden Era. And it shows in both her still images and in her videography work. Taylor’s goal is to capture the essence of the dramatic inner beauty of women by transcending the models into real moments that reflect true life.
Taylor presently works and resides in New York City - just recently returning from Fashion Weeks in Milan and Paris where her videos were displayed on Paris' Garance Dore's Fashion blog. Taylor went behind the scenes with Garance giving the world an 'insiders' view of the world's greatest Fashion shows – YSL, Max Mara, Louis Vuitton, Sonia Rykiel, Chanel, Celine, Lanvin, Dries Van Noten, Prada, Jil Sander and Marc Jacobs. Please review some of the moments that were captured by clicking on “Link to Video Work”.
Taylor's formal training comes from Brooks Institute in Santa Barbara, and she has a BFA in Photography from the School of Visual Arts (SVA) in New York City. Her extensive 'technical' training - in film as well as digital processing - has given her a unique balance of skill sets allowing for creative story concept design, on-set style and lighting, shooting and editorially building stories and images that can launch a designer's collection and full Advertising campaign.
