Tom Deininger B. 1970 in Boston, MA, brought up in an average middle class family and received a typical American education. Went onto college and majored in women, art, and surfing and learned very little about all three. Started traveling extensively with funds earned by working a variety of “odd” jobs and sales of artwork. Moved to Newport, RI in 1998 to set up permanent art studio. Started to experiment with found objects, as a way to make images. Gets totally disgusted with himself and society and decides to participate anyway….Currently works out of a large warehouse studio in Fall River, MA, making work that he deems sad and meaningless but doesn’t know what else to do (he secretly wants to become hugely successful to massage his fragile ego and fund more meaningless work).
