Now in his 4th term, Tom continues to fight for less government and more personal freedom in the Georgia House of Representatives. In doing so, he uses our conservative North Georgia values as a guide in his decision making. He's a small businessman and has been recognized nationally as a conservative leader for his tireless efforts to stem the tide of an expansive government and reducing the tax burden on Georgians. Tom has received numerous honors for standing up for our conservative principles. Just this year, he was recognized as the "2009 Legislator of the Year" from the 9th Congressional District of Georgia and the "Guardian of Small Business" from the National Federation of Independent Business.

Tom and his family live on their farm in Ranger, Georgia. He's a graduate of the University of Georgia, where he earned a Bachelors of Business Administration degree, specializing in Finance. He and his wife Julie have three children, JoAnn, John, and Janey. The Graves attend Belmont Baptist Church in Calhoun.
