Born in Victoria, TX, Carlos Young was raised on soulful southern sounds. Blues and R&B were his child bedtime sonnets and he progressed steadily into the very musical man he is today. He is a singer with powerful yet delicate vocals, a writer, a composer, and an aspiring producer.
He enjoys blending styles to create music that draws from pure musical ideas, while retaining a freedom to scribble outside the lines. From sax, to piano, to guitar, drums, and now Digital Audio Workstations, this multi talented musician is just scratching the surface of what he will become. He is addicted to growing musically, and is always looking to pick up a new lick or production trick. With a heart that's a throwback from the fifties, he's likely to make you feel like a kid again, or remind you of your parents and "back in the day". Also, a lover of high energy dance, hip-hop, newly emerging DUB, house and electronica, Carlos Young has a sophisticated and eclectic ear that can communicate in any musical setting.
