A writer and filmmaker, Bill is an assistant professor in the Institute For Writing Studies at St. John's University in New York. He is the author of two novels, a Midwestern Gothic collection of stories entitled Horseshoe and an 80's music and movies themed novel Love on the Big Screen. Bill has directed two documentary films: For the Love of the Books highlights the Pulpwood Queens of East Texas book club and his documentary short The Mushroom Hunter tells the story of Martin Torgerson and his buddies who have hunted morel mushrooms for over fifty years. Bill's script adaptation of Love on the Big Screen won the Grand Prize of the Rhode Island International Film Festival Screenplay Competition.
