Transitions (TOL) is a Prague-based media development organization whose mission is to actively champion democracy, pluralism, and freedom of expression by strengthening the professionalism, independence, and impact of the media and civil society organizations, which a special focus on Central and Eastern Europe, the Balkans, and the former Soviet Union.
We have two main activities:
* Publishing: Our online magazine, Transitions Online (tol.org), covers political, social and economic developments in Central and Eastern Europe, the Balkans, and the former Soviet Union.
* Media and journalism training: Transitions provides expert training for journalists, journalism students, and NGO experts through a combination of courses, seminars, and internships.
