Treasa O'Brien
TREASA O’BRIEN is a writer/director/artist whose filmmaking practice incorporates fiction, experimental moving image and documentary but she is mostly interested in when these distinctions collapse. Ethics, morals, lived experience and imagined ones are explored through testimony, investigation, performance, and invention. Her work often explores socio-political themes, such as private/public space, the individual and the collective, the local and the global, tourism, utopia and activism. She also devises time-based performative interventions in the public realm.
Treasa is also director and producer of Stinging Hornet Films
