Underbelly
Moving image & design

Underbelly are designer Matt Moate and photographer Enamul Hoque.
We design and direct moving image and motion graphics for short films, idents, title sequences, virals, promos and video installations.

We combine our commissioned work with self-initiated projects – typically involving fashion, beauty, design and art. We work with international brands including Nike, YKK, Rodnik and Sony. Our innovative and thoughtful approach draws on diverse talent involving designers, musicians, artists, stylists, choreographers and models. As original contributors to Onedotzero at London’s ICA, and You Wear it Well in Hollywood, our motion graphics and fashion films have been broadcast and screened around the world.

We also art direct and shoot fashion photography.


Matt is a designer. He studied at the Royal College of Art and the University of Brighton. He has worked on projects for the Science Museum, the National Theatre, the Barbican, Universal Music, British Airways, Reuters, Hewlett Packard and Range Rover. He lives in Dalston, London.

Enamul is a photographer. Born in Dhaka, Bangladesh, he has worked on numerous campaigns for Kodak, General Motors, Virgin and Sony Playstation. His photographic work has been featured in various international magazines and exhibitions. He lives in London.
