THE INSTITUTE OF CONTEMPORARY URBAN ENCOUNTERS or short: CUE, deals with the issues of art and urban society, promoting and researching the interaction between the two.

CUE brings sight and sound of the city into an artistic context that spans across all artforms.

CUE grew from a club-culture background with strong links to DJ-culture, graphic design, street art and photography.

CUE projects and workshops are presented in publications, exhibitions, on dvd's and online.

CUE documentation, news and research is published on fieldreport.net, the CUE media website.

CUE currently consists of a small group of people, connected through friendship and work on various projects over the past years. The Institute is based in Bern and Zurich, Switzerland.
