Urban Tactics is a graffiti and street art exhibition held in Budapest 2011 October 8.

Urban Tactics aims to spread the word (and images) of urban art and give insights intointernational trends.

The project stretches the boundaries of Graffiti with the unconcealed purpose of showing what all these genres embrace and emphasizing that graffiti is not vandalism. Graffiti and streetart are oftenignored and disapproved because they are said not to have much in common with classic art.

While the urban environment and corresponding lifestyle are essential, fundamental sources ofinspiration for contemporary culture and art.
All of the participating artists in the exhibition are active writer or their art have roots in graffiti,whose impacts are observed on their works that reflect urban lifestyle, represent stylistic diversityand feauters. Urban Tactics presents some of the most exciting works of contemporary Urban art sceen lending
new colours to this year's program series.

Billboard project

for the better and more likeable cityscape
The Art Moments by Hybridart attempst to create an experience of exposing us high-quality art work in our everyday
life. Improving the city's visual culture AM gives a new interpretation to billboard, a striking visual element
used in a slightly different way – as if it were a canvas for example.
Apropos the Urban Tactics exhibition Hungarian and foreign artists were invited to paint a giant poster in their own
style around the city. Hopefully, it makes the man in the street love art.

Live painting

Opening exhibition presenting international works and projects with live painting
On 8th of October the full day programe starts with a live-painting action with live music and dj-sets providing a
good atmosphere for painting and looking around. The spectacular event in public space span the chasm between
the artist and the viewer. Visitors can gain an insight into the creative procceses.
Short films, videos can be viewed about the artists and the painting of billboards inside of the exhibition place and
outside on digital screens. Visitors are welcome at workshops as well where the youth can meet and try out urban
art and new techinques, styles.
