Sia Hermanides (09-22-1986) graduated in 2010 at the Utrecht School of Arts as an Audiovisual Media major, specializing in Direction and Fiction Film Scriptwriting. From the 21st of September until the 4th of January in 2009, she wrote and directed the interactive series Raaf Mixer for the program Villa Achterwerk of the Dutch Public Network (VPRO).
Her short coming-of-age films Summertime (2009) and Sugar Rush (Dutch title: Suikertrip) were shown at the Dutch National Film Festival. Also, ‘Suikertrip’ was nominated for the Dioraphte Artistic Encouragement Award in the category of best students’ graduation film 2010.
