I'm having the same kinds of issues discussed here, and I'm using Adobe Premiere Elements 7. When I use the H.264 codec, PE7 doesn't give me any audio compressor options ("uncompressed" is the only option), nor any video data rate options (other than a "quality" slider bar, which allows me to choose my video quality as a percentage, from zero to 100%). So, when I look at the specs outlined in the compression guideline (http://vimeo.com/help/compression), I have no idea if my audio is compressed in AAC, or what the bit rate is. Ditto for the video quality. Also have no idea if audio interleaving could be the culprit. Any advice out there? My video is fine at the source, and fine as uploaded on YouTube.
