Much of Brendan’s early career was in advertising writing literally hundreds of jingles for the likes of Channel 7, Woolworths, Retravision and Burswood Casino. From there he moved into copy writing and brand development. Notably he was Creative Director for the reintroduction of fresh milk into NSW primary schools, creating 2 large animated TV campaigns for Milk Marketing NSW in 1995 and 1997. As part of this he also wrote a children’s educational play “A Milky Way Out Adventure”, which toured NSW schools. This lead to him being asked to do the same for other primary producers, resulting in “Wish Upon A Food Star” which was performed at Agview and the Royal Easter Show.
An accomplished musician, Brendan travelled regularly to the USA in the mid 90s to work with cult songwriter Richard Davies. As well as extensive touring, including a national tour with the Flaming Lips, Brendan worked on Davies’ much acclaimed "Telegraph" album. He has continued his music production/mixing /engineering work winning awards with Leroy Lee (a Triple J Unearthed winner in 2007) and Didj Boys (OzMusic Award 2005 for Best Instrumental). Other artists he has worked with include James Edgar Francis, Delta Gooodrem, Deni Hines, Bardot, Disco Montego feat Katie Underwood (‘Beautiful” - ARIA Top 5) and many more.
Working in a variety of areas Brendan sees no boundaries, feeling that each informs and enhances the other. He is a partner at Think Tank Creative in Sydney where he works with top brands Pro Activ Solution and Zumba Fitness. He also handles audio postproduction for “The Mumbo Report” a media and marketing industry web show produced by Focal Attractions.
