andre hermann
Andre is a visual storyteller based in Oakland, CA. He graduated in 2009 from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco with a Masters degree in Photography. His work has been featured in Photography magazine, CMYK magazine, VRMag (online) and the Academy of Art University's 180 Magazine.
Andre was awarded bronze in the documentary category at University of Missouri's 63rd College Photographer of the Year Awards, and an award of excellence at the 64th College Photographer of the Year Awards in the documentary photo essay category, along with multiple awards from the Academy of Art University's annual Spring Show. He also was invited to attend the 21st annual Eddie Adams Workshop in New York.
Accolades aside Andre has had the pleasure of being mentored by Ed Kashi, James Nachtwey, Richard Koci Hernandez, and Fred Larson.
