Avguste Antonov
Bulgarian born pianist Avguste Antonov began music studies at the age of 5. In 1989, after joining his mother and stepfather in France, he studied at the prestigious private school Ecole Normale de Paris (1989-1990) and at the Conservatoire Nationale de Region de Bordeaux (1990-1999). His teachers in France include Professor Alain Motard and Professor Herve N'Kaoua.
Following his stay in Bordeaux, Mr. Antonov moved to the United States where he attended the University of Missouri-Kansas City (1999-2000) studying with Professor Robert Weirich and Professor Stanislav Ioudenitch (2001 co-winner of the Van Cliburn Piano Competition). The following year Avguste joined the University of Kansas (2000-2005) where he studied under Professor Jack Winerock and in May 2005, Avguste obtained the Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from the University of Kansas. That same year, Avguste Antonov obtained the United States citizenship.

In 2006, Mr Antonov moved to Texas, and between 2006-2008, he attended the prestigious Texas Christian University for the Master of Music in Piano Performance under the direction of Professor Tamas Ungar. Currently, Mr.Antonov is preparing the orals examination,which is the last requirement before official graduation.
Avguste Antonov has performed extensively with the University of Kansas Wind Ensemble, University of Kansas Symphony,Symphonic Choir and the Texas Christian University Wind Symphony. Performance venues include the Music Education National Convention with the University of Kansas Wind Ensemble and the College Band Directors National Association with the Texas Christian University Wind Symphony. As a soloist, Mr Antonov has performed Liszt's 2nd Piano Concerto with the University of Kansas Symphony, the Schumann Piano Concerto with the Kansas City Medical Arts Symphony and Messiaen's "Colors of the Celestial City" with the University of Kansas Wind Ensemble.
Mr Antonov has also performed recitals in Bordeaux,Kansas,Iowa,Missouri,Florida,
Pennsylvania,Texas Ohio.

Avguste Antonov is a dedicated performer of 20th and 21st century music and has performed World and US premieres. Mr Antonov has worked with composers such as Carter Pann, John Mackey, Raina Murnak, John Arrigo-Nelson, Matthew Lewis, Till Meyn, Michael Colgrass, Robert Rollin and many others.
Mr Antonov has been featured in recordings for MusicForLearning(solo) and Naxos(with the University of Kansas Wind Ensemble). His performances can also be heard on the web thanks to Playlist.com, Beemp3.com and other digital music websites.

Mr Antonov is a lifetime member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars and member of the American Music Center. He is a featured pianist for the Piano Society(pianosociety.com)
Currently, Avguste Antonov is a piano instructor at The Master's Touch School of Music in Grapevine,TX.
