I am a filmmaker with experience shooting narrative films, documentaries, and commercials.
My MFA in Cinematography is from the Ohio University School of Film, where I studied under Tomas Hayes: an Emmy award winning filmmaker and editor, and Steven Ross; an award winning New York City Director of Photography.
I have teaching experience at public and private universities and specialize in introductory production, cinematography and nonlinear editing courses. Recently, I was a student mentor and the director of photography for “Torcida” a short film written, and produced in and around a small northern New Mexico town called Espanola, which was sponsored by Hands Across Cultures and the Film and Digital Media Arts Program at Northern New Mexico College.
My production credits include the recently released “SKATOPIA: 88 Acres of Anarchy” featured in Rolling Stone Magazine’s website, DISTORTION which received an honorable mention in The Accolade Film Festival, WINESBURG OHIO recently screened at the England International Film Festival , and four episodes of THE NEW MEXICO ECOPEDIA: a twenty part web series on renewable energy in New Mexico. His award winning co-written screenplay, MIRROR CALLED MEXICO entered the 2008 Latino Media Market, sponsored by the National Association of Latino Independent Producers (NALIP).
