Kino is an independant movie making movment who now represents the largest international film community. Kino was created in Montreal in 1999 to bring together independent film and video directors wishing to emulate the sprit of creativity advocated by the founding members. 'Do well with nothing, do better with little, and do it now'.
The International Brussels Kino Kabaret aims to bring together Belgian and foreign film makers to make films in only 72 hours. We give the means and support the creation of movies in a non competitive environment. We provide a context of freedom of expression. We produce and screen around fifty movies in ten days.
The Brussels International Kino Kabaret is hosted by the Brussels Short Film Festival and takes place every year in late April.
